Fishing report for 10/20/17

A very good week for walleye fishermen! Jigs and minnows are preferred bait during the day. Shallow cranks are best in the evening. Sunfish are still active on Waska. Bass have been good on all area lakes as have the walleyes.

Fishing report for 10/13/17

Will add to last week’s report. Walleyes are into fall pattern on all area lakes. Starting to hear walleyes being caught at dark on Waska using raps in 7-8 feet of water. Duck hunters had better success this past week. No northern ducks yet. Very few pheasants and crops in the field will hamper the opener tomorrow.

Fishing report for 10/6/17

Water temps are below 60 degrees! Walleyes on Waska are starting to be caught with jigs and minnows or trolling with spinners and minnows. Best depth has been 15-18 feet of water. Waska sunnies are still providing the most action. Shore fishing on Emily has been good using live bait. Jigs and minnows will work for boats on Emily. Reno walleyes are being caught in 15-18 feet of water using crawlers or minnows. Walleyes will continue to bite all the way to ice up!

Fishing report for 9/15/17

The same as last week. Did get several accurate reports that Reno walleyes are very slow. Still good sunfish, bass, and northern fishing on Minnewaska. I think best time to try for walleyes om Waska would be sunset and after.

Fishing report for 9/8/17

Walleyes on area lakes are still not consistent. Catching some but no strong pattern. Sunnies on Minnewaska are great. Nice size and lots of them. Bass on Waska are in deeper water during the day. Still getting reports of walleyes being caught on Emily after dark from shore.
