Will add to last week’s report. Walleyes are into fall pattern on all area lakes. Starting to hear walleyes being caught at dark on Waska using raps in 7-8 feet of water. Duck hunters had better success this past week. No northern ducks yet. Very few pheasants and crops in the field will hamper the opener tomorrow.
Water temps are below 60 degrees! Walleyes on Waska are starting to be caught with jigs and minnows or trolling with spinners and minnows. Best depth has been 15-18 feet of water. Waska sunnies are still providing the most action. Shore fishing on Emily has been good using live bait. Jigs and minnows will work for boats on Emily. Reno walleyes are being caught in 15-18 feet of water using crawlers or minnows. Walleyes will continue to bite all the way to ice up!
The weather has finally improved and water temps are going down which means walleyes should start hitting on all area lakes. Best reports this past week continue to be the great sunnie fishing on Minnewaska.
Not very many fishing reports. Reno still slow. Every one is still happy with numbers and size of Waska sunnies. Waska walleyes are inconsistent. No reports from Emily this past week. Much the same as last week.
The same as last week. Did get several accurate reports that Reno walleyes are very slow. Still good sunfish, bass, and northern fishing on Minnewaska. I think best time to try for walleyes om Waska would be sunset and after.
Walleyes on area lakes are still not consistent. Catching some but no strong pattern. Sunnies on Minnewaska are great. Nice size and lots of them. Bass on Waska are in deeper water during the day. Still getting reports of walleyes being caught on Emily after dark from shore.
Weekend weather looks good for last holiday of summer. Get out and do some fishing on the area lakes. Seems like a fall pattern is here for catching these fish. Check last two reports!
Check last week’s report. Walleyes have started a fall pattern on the area lakes! Sunfish on Minnewaska are excellent with good reports from all over the lake. This is a good time of the year to catch some catfish. These fish are hard fighters and taste good when prepared properly. Try lake Emily or the small area rivers for the cats.
The weather has been terrible this past week. Most people are catching big sunnies and lots of them on Minnewaska. Bass have gone deep with best results in 14-16 feet of water. Northerns are being caught in 8-10 feet of water using spoons. Starting to hear some walleyes being caught during the day using crawlers and spinners in 20-24 feet of water. After sunset try crankbaits in 6-8 feet of water. A few reports have walleyes being caught from shore with live bait on Emily. Also Reno has been good for walleyes. We could be going into an early fall pattern for walleyes. Good luck!
Big sunnies and lots of them is the report for this week. I was gone all week so don’t know anything else.
