Nothing new or good to report. May be record late ice out. Live bait may be hard to find for the opener due to late ice out.
Fishing report for 4/13/18
Still a waiting game for ice to leave. Did not lose any ice this past week. Looking more likely it may be record late ice out. I hope we have open water on area lakes by May 1. Bummer!
Fishing report for 4/6/18
For anyone still wanting to do some ice fishing, try Minnewaska, Reno,Little Mary, or Osakis. For all the rest of us it is a waiting game for the ice to leave. This will be a late ice out possibly a record late ice out. All we can do is wait and see.
Fishing report for 3/30/18
Same as last week. The northeast bay on Reno has had the most activity this past week. Waska is still good for sunfish. No reports from other lakes. Stay with wheelers and portables.
Fishing report for 3/23/18
We have a late season panfish bite that is consistant on Waska, Reno, Maple, Little Mary, and Oscar. The Glenwood side of Waska has been the best for sunfish during the day. I would recommend four wheelers and portables. The accesses are getting tricky. The Priest Point area and west on the Starbuck side has also been good for sunnies.
Fishing report for 3/16/18
Same as last week. Still not warming up and decent reports as last week for the lakes. We will be in Morris this weekend for the spring expo. It is at the Morris community center. We will be featuring Lew’s rods and reels with special deals and hot prices!
Fishing report for 3/9/18
No water running in the holes yet. Panfishing will get better as temps rise. Activity this past week has been on Waska, Reno, Maple, Little Mary, Rachael, Oscar, and Freeborn. All these lakes are good bets for panfish.
Fishing report for 3/2/18
Fish houses have to be off area lakes by 3/5/18. Sunfish are being caught on Glenwood side of Waska. Panfish will get better when water starts running in the holes. Getting around on the lakes has gotten difficult due to the snow.
Fishing report for 2/23/18
Exactly the same as last week. Gamefish season closes Sunday for inland MN lakes. Houses have to be off the lakes by 3/5/18. Pretty quite end to this walleye season.
Fishing report for 2/16/18
Late season fishing patterns have set in. Walleyes are slow with a few being caught at night. Panfish during the day has not improved due to the cool temps. Have not heard of any hot lakes to mention. Seek and you will find. Good luck!
